1. Hector went from Hermosillo, Son. to Ajo, AZ for his niece's wedding. When he got there, he discovered he had left behind the belt to his dress pants. He called several relatives in  Ajo to see if he could borrow a belt. Herman's size was 96. His Uncle  Gus wore size 42; his nephew Manny wore size 36. His cousin  Eddie wore size 38. Whose belt should Hector borrow?

Answer: Eddie's. 38" is about 95 cm.

 

2. Steve has been writing to his pen pal Maria in Puerto Peņasco. Now he is going to visit her. He asks her to tell him what she looks like so he'll recognize her. She tells him she has brown eyes and dark brown hair, is 150 cm. tall and measures 92-71-97. Should Steve expect her to be tall and willowy or short and plump? What are her height and her measurements in inches? Answer: Short and plump. She is 5' tall and measures 37-28-39.
