Update on the Puerto Peņasco MLS

The Puerto Peņasco Association of Real Estate Agents has been a reality for two months, and the association's Multiple Listing Service is almost ready to roll, according to John Fleming, Administrator. He just gave out passwords to all the members, and they are starting to upload listings. As the data base gradually expands, it will become more useful to the real estate agents. It will also be useful to appraisers, title insurance agents, and anyone else affiliated with the real estate industry. The data can also be used on each individual agent's office Website or made into flyers and distributed by e-mail to investors, homebuyers, and other agents.

The software is called Flex MLS and is made by Financial Business Systems, which has been in the data base business for 25 years. It works with real estate professionals all over the U.S. and has at least one other association in Mexico. John Fleming attended a 2-day summit in Fargo, North Dakota, August 21-23 to learn more about the system and how it works and to establish contacts with colleagues all over the U.S. and Mexico.
